• The Workshop has helped to enrich and improve my spiritual life. I got so much out of it! I enjoyed meeting others in our Collaborative and sharing this experience with them.
• I would like to write about how significantly my participation in the group has helped me grow spiritually.
- I like structure and it is a very structured program. I think that it is well developed and somewhat comprehensive.
- The workshop had methods of prayer (especially meditation) that I haven’t used much in the past and I continue to work on these practices.
- What helped me the most was imposing my name in the passages from the Bible and relating it to my daily life.
- l also got meaning out of the teachings of Father Larrañaga. The materials that came with the program are very helpful.
- My husband died 6 years ago and on the morning that he passed he said to me, “I know that God truly loves me”. I was happy that he had this conviction, but I wanted the same feeling and knowledge. Well, all it took was the first lesson in the Prayer Handwork to shift my thinking and truly know that God also loves me. This is something that is so powerful and such a blessing to me. I have been wanting this gift for a long time and I am very grateful for it.
• The Prayer and Life Workshop is a beautiful way to strengthen one’s relationship with Our Lord and learn new ways to communicate with Him.
- Best of all, we are prompted to incorporate our spiritual practices into everyday life in a consistent, effective way.
- The messages each week from Fr. Ignacio and the discipline of the Sacred Prayer time are also great gifts.
- Our facilitator is the ideal guide for this program – she’s focused and committed, and ensures that we participants are, too.
• I have especially appreciated the homework assignment of the Workshop spending at least a half hour a day meditating on passages in the Bible. I hope to continue this practice daily for the rest of my life.
• I have learned that:
- I must surrender all to God. It is not my way but His way.
- I must forgive those who have hurt me.
- I must accept the will of God as Mary did.
- I must be a disciple of Jesus by spreading His message. Not so much by words but sometimes by silence.
- I must love those that I don’t really l like. I must not be judgmental or critical. I must not spread gossip nor rumors. I must keep silent and take some secrets to the grave.
• The results of the Workshop for me were as follows:
- I became more aware of God’s presence in my life. I am now thanking God every day for things I took for granted before – my health, friends, any weather, my career which I loved (retired now), etc.
- My trust in God has solidified as I realize how He has loved and cared for me these 78 years.
- I am beginning to understand how we are all connected to each other by the Holy Spirit.
- I think and talk and listen to God more during each day than I did before.
- I try to act as Jesus would in any situation. This keeps me calm.
• I joined the Prayer and Life Workshop to enhance my prayer life experience.
- Through the methods taught in the weekly classes as well as the daily assignments I gained a greater sense of peace in my life and a closer relationship with God.
- The program is structured in a way that the readings and methods of prayer help participants relate what meaning it may have in their lives as well as what action they can take in their everyday lives to be the face of Jesus in this world.
- I would recommend this course to anyone looking to enrich their prayer life and their relationship with Jesus.
• The Prayer and Life Workshop is a spiritually transforming experience!
- Although it is a time commitment, I found the program to be immensely beneficial.
- By practicing the workshop’s different prayer methods and meditations, it has helped me work out some indecisiveness I have been struggling with for years.
- It has also taught me peaceful strategies when dealing with difficult people in my life or frustrating circumstances beyond my control.
- These things were made possible with this program through a beautifully deepened relationship with God.
• The Prayer and Life Workshop has been a huge blessing in my life, and I am looking forward to continuing.
• Thanks for leading me deeper into an understanding and love of my faith, prayer, the Bible and my God.
