The 2020 Lay Congress was held in Madrid, Spain, between February 14 and 16 with 2,000 participants under the slogan “People of God on the way out”, initiating a synodal path that seeks discernment, with the aim of energizing and promoting the secular apostolate in the Dioceses.
They worked four Itineraries, with ten thematic lines in each one, with a dynamic of work and reflection in groups of 50 people. Among the different experiences presented at the Congress, there was the one of Prayer and Life Workshops, selected to participate within the thematic Line of Formation for prayer. This great meeting, a space for dialogue and reflection of brothers in the faith of all Dioceses, has been a new Pentecost for our Church.
