Guides’ Maternal Destiny
As I write, I get a feeling of emptiness from the society that surrounds me. It’s the post Christmas season. The ornamental light decorations are gone. Gifts are gone. Toys are forgotten and pockets are empty. Christmas just died, and every where the cold feeling of nostalgia and unmet goals prevail.
I look for another Christmas.
I want a different kind of Christmas for my people, the type that is alive; the kind that on passing leaves no emptiness but warmth and purpose. Better yet, I want for our Guides an immortal Christmas, never fading, vibrant without lights off for our Guides: an eternal Christmas.
What do I mean by this?
I mean the reason for existing, the reason of being for the Guide is “to be Christmas”. All that a Guide does is essentially Christmas. Nativity – who’s nativity? Jesus’ of course. Whenever Jesus is born, it is Christmas.
When a Guide, during the Sacred Half Hour, embraces Jesus intimately, he/she is in the most secret/ devoted communication with Him. The Guide is overwhelmed by His presence, illuminated by His radiant face, in the darkest and remotest corner of his/her unconsciousness… and comes out of this room infused by the risen presence of Jesus, exclaiming: “It is now that I begin to be like Jesus”. In this moment Jesus is born. It is Christmas.
Now, then, what does a mother do? She gives birth.
Who gave birth to Jesus in this world? Mary
The Guide takes Mary’s place. The Guide fulfills his/her destiny of giving birth to Jesus whenever this question is asked: “What would Jesus do in my place?” always, whenever through faith and prayer the real presence of Jesus is brought to his/her mind and heart; always, whenever they try to be humble and patient as Jesus throughout the day they try to be.
And so, day in and day out throughout life, Jesus makes possible all the impossibilities in the Guide’s life. So many surpassed limitations, so many overcome impulses, so much violence quenched, so many healed injuries, so many forgiven trespasses, so much defused aggressiveness…Miracles…The Guide gives birth to Jesus continuously with his/her everlasting “maternal function” with Jesus everything is possible.
Dear Guides of the whole world:
In addition to wishing that each and every one of us had a very Merry Christmas together with their loved ones, we propose for the year 2019, to be an eternal Christmas as our founder dreamed.
On the path of Permanent Conversion we will achieve it.
A strong and lovely hug
