One resurrected, Jesus Christ begins a course of continual growth, always forward, always upward, and always toward fulfillment…the Total Christ, ¨”when Christ is everything in everyone.” Jesus Christ is born and grows to the degree that we embody his feelings, attitudes, reactions and general way of being. To sum it up, living, feeling and acting like Jesus did while le lived on earth.
Through us, Jesus Christ will be born, grow and flourish more each day, until at the end of time he reaches his complete stature. Everything was made in Him, with Him, by Him and for Him. He is the beginning, the center and the end. He is the reason that history exists and the reason for our being.
Jesus Christ will be born and grow in the same measure that we become sensitive, like he was, to the needy of the world. He will be born and grow in the same proportion that we feel compassion and indentify ourselves with the unfortunate like hi did.
Jesus Christ will be born, grow in us, and through us in the same proportion that we favor the poor, like he did. Whenever the poor receive preferential treatment, it is the signal that the Kingdom has arrived.
Jesus Christ will be born and grow in us through us in the same measure that we try to be like him, patient and humble; in the same measure that we reflect his spirit, peace, self-control, strength and serenity. When we know how to forgive, like he forgave. When we know how to keep silent. When we no longer worry about our own prestige, but about the Glory of the Father and the happiness of our brothers. When we are as sincere and truthful as Christ was to both friends and enemies, defending the truth even at the expense of our lives.
Jesus Christ will be born, grow in us, and throughout us in the same measure that we lived like he did, unconcerned about ourselves but concerned for others; like he was, never concerned about himself, without enough time to eat, sleep or rest. In the same measure that Jesus loved, inventing a thousand ways and fashions to express this love; giving his life and prestige for “his friends.” Lastly, if we go through life doing good for everyone.
In this way we are taking part in the transcendental task of making Christ always “greater”. Our journey throughout life will be of help, a little push, always forward, always upward, and always toward the fulfillment, maturity and totality of Jesus Christ.
